Hoje, 10 de fevereiro, quando o PT completa 32 anos, a proposta de aliança entre o PT e o PSD – partido do atual prefeito de São Paulo, Kassab – tem levado a base do partido na cidade de São Paulo a se indignar com os dirigentes simpáticos à ideia.
“Dormindo com o inimigo” é um filme norte-americano estrelado pela atriz Julia Roberts em 1991, que conta a história de uma mulher que casa com o homem de seus sonhos, mas, após o casamento descobre o verdadeiro monstro que ele é. Extremamente possessivo e violento, seu marido passa a espancá-la diariamente e a única forma que ela encontra de escapar dele é forjando a própria morte, mudando de cidade, de nome e de aparência.
Agora, em 2012, para o povo da cidade de São Paulo, o inimigo é o atual prefeito Gilberto Kassab. Após tê-lo eleito prefeito, o povo passou a apanhar cotidianamente deste verdadeiro monstro. Nem mesmo os artistas escaparam dos acessos violentos do prefeito: em 2010 ele instalou a “operação delegada” através da qual a prefeitura de São Paulo contratava oficiais da PM (Polícia Militar) do estado de SP para agredir e deter comerciantes ambulantes. No decreto do prefeito, artistas de rua, músicos, malabaristas, palhaços, etc. também eram enquadrados como “comerciantes” ambulantes, agredidos e presos.
Foi Kassab também que substituiu todos os subprefeitos da capital paulista por Coronéis da reserva da PM. A militarização da administração pública em São Paulo transformou as relações entre subprefeituras e população em coisa muito parecida com o que acontece entre a personagem de Julia Roberts e seu marido violento naquele filme.
Quando a juventude paulistana saiu repetidamente às ruas aos milhares para protestar contra os aumentos abusivos das passagens de ônibus, Kassab e seu comparsa do governo estadual mandaram a PM “sentar o bambu” nos manifestantes em várias ocasiões. E quando os manifestantes foram até os parlamentares do PT para angariar apoio para sua luta, foram os vereadores do PT a apanhar da polícia!
A última de Kassab foi a “limpeza” do bairro da Luz no centro de São Paulo – região popularmente conhecida como “Cracolândia” – onde a prefeitura, em parceria com o governo estadual, usou de todos os métodos de violência e coerção, numa clara demonstração de abuso de autoridade e total desrespeito aos direitos humanos, para desalojar famílias que habitavam edifícios ocupados no centro e literalmente limpar as ruas frequentadas pelos dependentes de crack que vagam dia e noite sem ter onde morar. Teria sido isso por uma nobre vontade política de dar moradia digna às famílias e tratar os viciados em crack? Não! Ocorre que os empreendimentos imobiliários planejados para aquela área, num projeto chamado de “Nova Luz”, necessitavam de tal “limpeza”. Qualquer semelhança com a operação do governo estadual em São José dos Campos para desalojar os moradores de Pinheirinho não é mera coincidência.
Kassab, que além de prefeito de São Paulo é presidente nacional do PSD, tem sua vida política ligada ao que existe de mais conservador. Foi presidente estadual do DEM, secretário do planejamento da prefeitura de São Paulo durante o mandato de Celso Pitta (discípulo de Paulo Maluf) e entrou no governo municipal como vice de José Serra. Desde o ano passado articula a criação de um novo partido: o PSD. Mas todos sabem que o PSD não tem nada de novo. É uma nova agremiação formada em sua maior parte por políticos da pior estirpe provenientes dos velhos quadros do DEM e PSDB.
Durante os últimos 8 anos, o PT através de seus vereadores e lideranças dos movimentos sociais na cidade – em particular os movimentos de moradia – fez dura oposição à gestão de Kassab/Serra. Nada mais justo! Mas agora Kassab oferece todo apoio ao Governo de Dilma e uma aliança na própria capital paulista, dizendo inclusive que o próprio Lula poderia escolher qualquer membro do PSD para ser o vice na chapa de Fernando Haddad – pré-candidato a prefeito pelo PT.
Não poderíamos esperar menos de um oportunista como este filhote do malufismo. Mas o que surpreendeu os petistas foi a instantânea aceitação de Lula e parte dos dirigentes do partido a essa infame proposta. Isso abateu imediatamente a militância e lideranças locais do partido que até agora aceitavam a política de alianças com todos os partidos inimigos dos trabalhadores (como PMDB, PL, PR, PP, etc.) começaram a esbravejar sob o risco de se desmoralizarem completamente diante de sua base social.
Oportunista de alto nível, Kassab também flerta com o PSDB e há quem diga que tudo não passa de uma encenação para provocar o caos dentro do PT e enfraquecer a campanha de Haddad. Mas, quem provocou o caos no PT e está jogando a campanha do companheiro Haddad pelo ralo não é o Kassab, e sim a própria direção do PT! Afinal, se assim que o oportunista tivesse feito o convite, nosso companheiro Lula e demais dirigentes o tivessem recusado firmemente, nada disso estaria acontecendo. Pelo contrário, a reafirmação da oposição à política de Kassab elevaria o moral da militância para fazer uma campanha ainda mais forte.
O povo da cidade de São Paulo necessita que o PT cumpra o papel de organizador das lutas contra a desvalorização dos serviços e servidores públicos, contra a entrega dos equipamentos de saúde para as OSs (Organizações Sociais), em defesa da educação e por creches públicas para todas as crianças, por moradia digna para todos, pelo transporte público e de qualidade, etc. Todo o oposto do que a gestão do PSD de Kassab vem fazendo.
Pauta da reunião do Diretório Municipal do PT é tomada por Kassab!
Após todos tomarem conhecimento pela imprensa das conversas entre Lula e Kassab, o Diretório Municipal (DM) do PT se reuniu em 04 de Fevereiro na sede do Diretório Estadual em São Paulo. Presentes vereadores, deputados, membros do DM e presidentes dos diretórios zonais da capital – cerca de 100 pessoas.
O companheiro vereador Antonio Donato, presidente do DM, abriu a reunião dizendo que a pauta deveria ser o calendário de atividades e programa de governo, que o DM não votaria nada sobre a proposta de acordo com Kassab, que quem deverá decidir sobre a política de alianças é o Encontro Municipal do PT que ocorrerá em 2 e 3 de Junho. Depois externou suas preocupações de que até lá o PT ficasse paralisado por essa discussão sem avançar na campanha. Em seguida, o companheiro Fernando Haddad, pré-candidato a prefeito, repetiu o mesmo discurso: “Vamos debater propostas para o programa de governo! Nada de paralisar nosso debate interno por essa discussão sobre a aliança com o Kassab! O que o encontro de Junho decidir, faremos!”
Mas não era isso que a base do partido esperava do DM. A base petista ansiava por um rotundo NÃO do Diretório Municipal para tranquilizar a todos sobre essa questão e colocar a campanha na rua. Mas, o debate que se seguiu explicou porque isso não foi a voto no DM: não havia consenso nem mesmo entre os dirigentes nacionais do PT sobre a questão e não havia como saber qual posição sairia vencedora. Preferiram ser prudentes e adiar. Mas o adiamento dessa tomada de posição provoca justamente o que os companheiros temiam: a paralisação do partido. Se tem alguém rindo com isso, é o Kassab!
Abertas as inscrições, 30 companheiros pediram a palavra. Todos contrariaram a pauta apresentada pela mesa e todos, sem exceção, falaram sobre a proposta de aliança com Kassab. A maioria falou contra. Discursos inflamados e exaltados contrários a qualquer acordo com Kassab. E a cada intervenção contrária a Kassab, cerca de metade do plenário aplaudia. Por outro lado, alguns petistas que aparentavam ser favoráveis a uma aliança com Kassab não tiveram coragem de defender e mantiveram o discurso da mesa: “Temos que avaliar com cuidado e o que o Encontro decidir, faremos!” Esses recebiam aplauso da maioria dos presentes. Apenas 3 dos 30 que se inscreveram, tiveram coragem de defender abertamente uma aliança com o partido do atual prefeito e também foram bem aplaudidos. Ou seja, apesar da maioria dos inscritos para falar ter se posicionado contra a aliança com Kassab, não é certo que a maioria dos presentes tivesse essa mesma opinião e uma votação resultaria imprevisível.
Dentre os que falaram abertamente contra, estava o companheiro Testa, do Diretório Zonal do Capão Redondo. Em sua fala afirmou que se chegar para a sua base e disser apenas que estão avaliando a proposta de aliança com o Kassab, já perdemos 20% dos votos, de cara. Outro companheiro disse: “Eu não sou louco de ir lá na base falar que vamos fechar com o Kassab!” Já a companheira vereadora Juliana Cardoso foi clara: “Estamos em campanha interna contra essa proposta de aliança!” E apresentou um abaixo-assinado do movimento encabeçado por ela que se chama “PT SIM! KASSAB NÃO!” Outos vereadores que já declararam ser contrários à aliança com Kassab, como o companheiro Chico Macena, Carlos Neder e o próprio Donato, preferiram ser mais prudentes aceitando adiar a discussão para o Encontro Municipal de junho.
O combate da Esquerda Marxista no interior do PT
Na porta do Diretório Estadual, cerca de uma hora antes da reunião do DM começar, militantes da Esquerda Marxista panfletavam a declaração “Unidade Petista para derrotar a aliança com Kassab e o PSD!”. Não foram poucos os membros do DM e presidentes de Zonais que pararam para conversar com os camaradas e manifestar acordo com a declaração.
Com apenas um suplente do Diretório Municipal, não tivemos direito a intervir na reunião, mas demos nosso recado com a panfletagem da declaração. Quando abertas as inscrições, o primeiro inscrito usou seus 3 minutos para criticar o panfleto da Esquerda Marxista. O centro de sua argumentação era de que “se fôssemos seguir o que diz o panfleto da Esquerda Marxista já não teríamos feito aliança com o PMDB em nível nacional e não teríamos eleito a companheira Dilma”.
Está claro que para esse companheiro os princípios políticos não valem muita coisa. Para companheiros como esse, o que interessa é ter alianças para ter mais votos, não importando se o aliado for o pior inimigo do povo trabalhador e adversário histórico do nosso partido, defendendo interesses de classe completamente opostos aos nossos. Para ele a discussão é pragmática: mais alianças são necessárias para que tenhamos mais votos! Ledo engano!
Nem é preciso dizer que esse tipo de raciocínio só se faz possível diante de uma degeneração política enorme, de companheiros que há muito abandonaram a luta original do PT para mudar a sociedade e a trocaram por cargos e salários nos mandatos e administrações do PT. E o discurso desses companheiros nos debates municipais reproduzem a linha política que emana do núcleo dirigente do partido. Basta ver o que escreveu Zé Dirceu em seu blog para defender a proposta de aliança com Kassab: “Primeiro, porque vem com o aval e o apoio entusiasta do presidente Lula. Segundo, porque apoio não se recusa. E, para vencer, precisamos de aliados e de mais de 50% de votos no primeiro, ou no segundo turno”.
Ocorre que mesmo do ponto de vista eleitoral pragmático esse raciocínio está equivocado. Num artigo intitulado “Dilma presidente! Vencemos uma batalha, mas a luta continua!” publicado em 1º de Novembro de 2010, dizíamos:
“Nos anos 30, ao criticar a política de Frente Popular – levada a cabo pelos stalinistas em aliança com os liberais da Espanha com o pretexto de estar contra os fascistas – Trotsky nos explicava:
“Os teóricos da Frente Popular não ultrapassam a primeira operação aritmética: a adição. A soma dos comunistas, socialistas, anarquistas e liberais, é maior do que cada um de seus termos. No entanto, a aritmética não é suficiente! É preciso, pelo menos, conhecimentos de mecânica. A lei do paralelograma de forças ocorre também na política. A resultante é, como sabemos, tão menor quanto mais divergentes forem as forças. Quando aliados políticos puxam em direções opostas, o resultado é zero.
O bloco dos diferentes grupos políticos da classe trabalhadora é absolutamente necessário para resolver tarefas comuns. Em determinadas circunstâncias históricas, um bloco desse tipo é capaz de arrastar as massas oprimidas pequeno-burguesas, cujos interesses são próximos aos do proletariado, já que a força conjunta deste bloco é muito maior do que a somatória das forças que o constituem. Pelo contrário, a aliança entre o proletariado e a burguesia, cujos interesses agora sobre questões-chave formam um ângulo de 180 graus, não pode nada além de paralisar a força reivindicativa do proletariado.” (Leon Trotsky, Lições da Espanha: Última Advertência, Dezembro/1937).
Todos sabemos a que levou essa política de alianças com setores da burguesia na Espanha e como acabou a revolução espanhola. E no Brasil de hoje, seria diferente?
O Governo Lula já vem aliado a setores da burguesia há 8 anos. Aliança que aumentou do primeiro para o segundo mandato com a consolidação do PMDB como aliado e agora é coroada com o vice do PMDB na chapa de Dilma!
Em 2006, sem ter o PMDB e nem o PDT na chapa, Lula teve 2 milhões de votos a mais que Dilma obteve agora coligada com o enorme PMDB, inclusive com um de seus principais quadros como vice!
Alguns podem dizer que em 2006 tivemos mais votos porque o candidato era o Lula e agora quase ninguém conhecia a Dilma. Esse é um fator importante a ser considerado. Mas não esconde o fato de que a ampliação das alianças com partidos burgueses resultou num número menor de votos.”
Na nossa opinião uma aliança com o PSD de Kassab seria ainda mais trágica do ponto de vista eleitoral. Aceitar a aliança com Kassab levará o PT à derrota eleitoral em São Paulo, diminuição da bancada de vereadores do PT e enorme desmoralização do partido no interior dos movimentos sociais organizados da capital.
Desde que Kassab começou a articular a criação do novo partido, nós já alertamos que este era um movimento oportunista para buscar um acordo com o PT. No Congresso de Direções Zonais do PT municipal de São Paulo realizado no início de 2011, fizemos uma intervenção explicando isso para um plenário lotado com mais de 500 petistas. Na ocasião, os mesmos vereadores que agora se encontram pressionados por suas bases para combater a proposta de aliança com Kassab bradavam da primeira fila do plenário que estávamos fora da realidade ao cogitar que o PT aceitaria uma aliança com Kassab.
Depois, em Junho de 2011, no encontro estadual de Macros do PT de SP, a direção do partido viu os delegados se insurgirem contra a proposta de aliança com o PSD e foi obrigada a manobrar adiando a discussão. Com medo da base voltam a adiar o debate e pensam que poderão fazer passar de supetão no Encontro Municipal. Veremos!
Nosso combate há anos tem sido pela ruptura da coalizão do PT com os partidos burgueses (PMDB, PSB, PTB, PR, PP...), essas alianças impedem que as mais sentidas reivindicações populares sejam verdadeiramente atendidas, contaminam nosso governo com as práticas corruptas tradicionais nos partidos de direita e desmobilizam a militância como ficou evidente no episódio em que a Direção Nacional do PT impôs um apoio à Roseana Sarney na campanha ao governo do Estado do Maranhão em 2010, ou quando impôs apoio a Garotinho para o governo do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, em 1998. Militância de cabeça erguida, organizada e mobilizada necessita do partido comprometido com a classe trabalhadora e presente nas lutas diárias por melhorias nas condições de vida da maioria da população.
Todos estão acompanhando a mobilização das massas no Norte da África, Oriente Médio, Europa e até mesmo nos EUA! Nos países árabes o movimento de milhões lembra muito o movimento contra a ditadura no Brasil que deu origem ao PT no final dos anos 70 e início dos anos 80. O PT é o produto histórico das lutas massivas dos trabalhadores que voltarão a eclodir no Brasil assim que a economia brasileira completamente dependente dos países imperialistas exigir da classe dominante e seu Estado um ataque frontal contra os direitos e conquistas dos trabalhadores. Nesse ponto, o PT será chamado a cumprir sua vocação histórica de partido das massas exploradas.
A Carta de Princípios do PT diz:
“O PT entende que sua existência responde à necessidade que os trabalhadores sentem de um partido que se construa intimamente ligado com o processo de organização popular, nos locais de trabalho e de moradia. Nesse sentido, o PT proclama que sua participação em eleições e suas atividades parlamentares se subordinarão a seu objetivo maior, que é estimular e aprofundar a organização das massas exploradas.” (Movimento Pró-PT, Carta de Princípios, 1º de maio de 1979)
Depois o Manifesto de Fundação do PT, há exatos 32 anos reafirmava isso:
“O PT afirma seu compromisso com a democracia plena e exercida diretamente pelas massas. Neste sentido proclama que sua participação em eleições e suas atividades parlamentares se subordinarão ao objetivo de organizar as massas exploradas e suas lutas.” (Manifesto de Fundação do PT, 10 de fevereiro de 1980)
Esse é o PT que a Esquerda Marxista defende. Não o PT que faz o inverso, que subordina os movimentos e a organização das massas exploradas à eleição de seus candidatos nas eleições burguesas.
Por isso, seguimos o combate. Integramos o movimento “PT SIM! KASSAB NÃO!” junto ao mandato da vereadora Juliana Cardoso e inscrevemos uma pré-candidatura marxista para disputar as eleições a vereador em São Paulo em 2012 com uma política de confronto aberto com os inimigos do povo. Estamos discutindo a formação de uma chapa para o Encontro Municipal de junho com todos os petistas que queiram resistir à proposta de aliança com o PSD de Kassab. Junte-se a nós!

Today, February 10, after 32 years, the proposed alliance between the PSD and the PT - the party of the current mayor of Sao Paulo, Kassab - has led the party base in the city of St. Paul to be indignant with the leaders sympathetic to the idea.
"Sleeping with the enemy" is a film starring the American actress Julia Roberts in 1991, which tells the story of a woman who marries the man of her dreams, but after marriage discovers the true monster he is. Now, in 2012, for the people of São Paulo, the enemy is the current mayor Gilberto Kassab. After having him elected mayor, the people have come to realize what a monster he is. Even the artists that escaped the violent hits in 2010 are threatened as Kassab has installed "operation delegated" by which the city of St. Paul hired officers PM (Military Police) in the state of SP to attack and deter street sellers. In the decree of the mayor, street performers, musicians, jugglers, clowns, etc. were also classified as "traders" street, beaten and arrested.
Kassab also replaced all of the state capital sub-prefects Colonels with the reserve members of the Military Police. The militarization of public administration in São Paulo city halls has transformed the relationship between the population to something very similar to what happens between the character of Julia Roberts and her abusive husband in that movie.
When the youth in Sao Paulo went repeatedly to the streets in the thousands to protest against the raising of the bus fares, Kassab and his partner the state government sent the Military Police to deal with the demonstrators on several occasions. And when the demonstrators went to the PT MPs to garner support for their struggle, they were not successful as the councilors of the PT are unlikely to deal with the police!
Kassab "cleaned" of the bairro da Luz in downtown Sao Paulo - the region popularly known as "Cracolândia" - where the city council, in partnership with the state government, tried all methods of violence and coercion, in a clear demonstration of abuse of authority and total disregard for human rights, to evict families living in occupied buildings downtown and literally tried to clean up (otherwise known as gentrify) the streets frequented by crack-addicts wandering day and night without a place to stay. Was this for a noble political cause to give decent housing to families and to treat those addicted to crack? No! It was due to real estate development planned for that area, a project called "Nova Luz", that required such a "clean up". The resemblance to the operation of state government in Sao Jose dos Campos to evict the residents of Pinheirinho is no coincidence.
Kassab, mayor of Sao Paulo, who is also national president of the PSD , is conservative in his political life. He was president of the state DEM, secretary of the planning of the municipality of Sao Paulo during the tenure of Celso Pitta (disciple of Paulo Maluf) and entered the municipal government as deputy to José Serra. Since last year, combines the creation of a new party: the PSD. But everyone knows that the PSD is nothing new. It is a new party formed largely by politicians of the worst strain representing the old structures of the DEM and PSDB.
During the past eight years, the PT through their councilors and leaders of social movements in the city - particularly the housing movements - have stood in strong opposition to the management of Kassab / Serra. Fair enough! But now Kassab offers his full support to the Government and an alliance of Dilma's own capital city, including saying that Lula himself could choose any member of the PSD to be the vice on the plate of Fernando Haddad - pre-candidate for mayor PT.
We could not expect less of an opportunist like this cub malufismo. [not sure what this means - please contact me if you can assist in translating this] But what surprised the PT was the instant acceptance of Lula and the leaders of the party of this infamous proposal. This immediately struck militancy and local leaders of the party who had so far accepted the policy of alliances with all parties enemies of the workers (as PMDB, PL, PR, PP, etc.). Now, however, they began to rant at the risk of desmoralizarem completely before its social base.
Opportunistic high-level Kassab also flirts with the PSDB and some say it is all an act to cause chaos within the PT and weaken the Haddad's campaign. But those who caused chaos in the PT and the campaign is playing down the drain fellow Haddad, but not Kassab, is facging regarding the actual direction of the PT! After all, if so the opportunist had the invitation, our comrade Lula and other leaders had refused the firm, none of this would be happening. Rather, the reaffirmation of opposition to the policy Kassab raises the morale of the membership to campaign even stronger.
The people of São Paulo require that the PT plays the role of organizing the struggle against the devaluation of the services and civil servants, against delivery of equipment for health OSs (Social Organizations), in defense of public education and day care centers for all children, decent housing for all, by public transportation and quality, etc.. All the opposite of what management is doing PSD Kassab.
Meeting Agenda Municipal Council (Municipal Directory - MD) EN is taken by Kassab!
After all the media become aware of talks between Lula and Kassab, the MD of the PT met on February 4 at the headquarters of the directory in Sao Paulo State. Councilors, MPs, members of the MD and directories zonal presidents of the capital were present - this amounted to about 100 people.
Fellow councilman Antonio Donato, president of MD, opened the meeting by saying that the agenda should be the schedule of activities and programs of government, the MD would not vote the proposal according to Kassab, one who should decide on the policy alliances is the Meeting Hall of the PT that occur in 2 and 3 June. Once he expressed his concerns that the PT's presence would paralyze by this discussion without alowing advancement in the campaign. Then the Fernando Haddad, pre-candidate for mayor, repeated the same in his speech: "We will discuss proposals for the government program! Nothing is going to paralyze our internal debate on this discussion about the alliance with Kassab! The June meeting is to proceed as planned! "
But that was not what the base of the party expected the MD to do. The base PT craved a resounding NO from the MD to reassure everyone about this issue and put the campaign on the street. But the debate that followed explained why there would be no vote in the MD, there was no consensus even among the national leaders of the PT on the issue and there was no way of knowing what position was the winner. Preferred to be cautious and delay. But the postponement of that stance just what causes the companions feared: the paralysis of the party. If someone is laughing about it, Kassab is!
During the open discussion, 30 comrades took the floor. All contradicted the agenda presented by the table and all, without exception, spoke about the proposed alliance with Kassab. The majority spoke against it. All discussion was in opposition to any agreement with Kassab. And every action contrary to Kassab, was cheered by about half the floor. On the other hand, some PT that appeared to be favorable to an alliance with Kassab did not have the courage to defend the speech and kept stating: "We have to carefully evaluate and decide what to do at this meeting!" They received applause from the majority of those present. Only three of the 30 who spoke publicly, had the courage to openly defend an alliance with the party's current mayor and also were well applauded. That is, although most of those registered to speak have been positioned against the alliance with Kassab, it is not certain that the majority of those present had the same opinion and that a vote would have predictable results.
Among those who spoke out against, was the companion Testa, Zonal Directory Capão Redondo. In his speech he said that if they get to your base and just say they are evaluating a proposed alliance with Kassab, 20% of the vote will already be lost. Another fellow said: "I'm not crazy to go there to speak on the basis that we make an agreement with Kassab" Councilwoman Juliana Cardoso was clear: "We are in internal campaign against this proposed alliance" and presented a petition movement headed by her called "PT YES! Kassab NO! "Other councilors who have declared their opposition to the alliance with Kassab, Chico Macena, Neder Carlos and Donato himself, preferred to be more accepting and found it prudent to postpone the discussion to the City Council meeting in June.
The fighting within the Marxist Left PT
At the door Directory State, about an hour before the meeting of the DM start, militant Marxist Left panphleted the statement "Unit PT to defeat the alliance with PSD and Kassab." There were many members of the MD and Zonal presidents who stopped to chat with friends and demonstrate according to the statement.
With just an alternate MD, we had no right to speak at the meeting, but gave our message to the pamphleteering of the declaration. When the floor opened to discussion, the first speaker used his three minutes to criticize the Marxist Left pamphlet.
