A Comissão de Direitos Humanos do Senado (CDH) realizará uma audiência pública em Brasília para discutir a violência policial praticada contra os moradores do Pinheirinho na próxima quinta feira, dia 23.

O senador Eduardo Suplicy (PT-SP), a pedido das lideranças do movimento, criou o projeto no Senado, com a intenção de reunir todas as autoridades envolvidas no caso, dentre elas o comando da PM, o prefeito Eduardo Cury (PSDB) e a juíza Marcia Loureiro.

“Os policiais que atuaram na desocupação do Pinheirinho para a Selecta, agiram com muita violência, uma truculência desnecessária. Além disso, esta operação policial interrompeu as negociações que estavam se desenvolvendo entre as partes, parlamentares, governo do estado de São Paulo e governo federal”, afirmou o advogado das famílias da ocupação Antônio Donizete Ferreira, o Toninho.

A audiência pública vai apurar também as denúncias dos casos de estupro, ocorridos no bairro Campo dos Alemães, vizinho ao Pinheirinho, durante a operação policial de desocupação da área.

The Human Rights Committee of the Senate (HRC) will hold a public hearing in Brasilia to discuss the police violence committed against the residents of Pinheirinho next Thursday, February the 23rd.

Senator Eduardo Suplicy (PT-SP) at the request of leaders of the movement, submitted the motion to the Senate, with the intention of bringing together all the authorities involved in the case, among them the command of the PM, Mayor Eduardo Cury (PSDB) and judge Marcia Loureiro.

"The police carried out the eviction of the residents of Pinheirinho on behalf of Selecta, and acted with great violence and unnecessary cruelty. Moreover, by means of this operation the police stopped the negotiations that were developing between the parties, parliamentarians, the state government of Sao Paulo and the federal government in regard to the issue of the occupation of Pinheirinho, "said the lawyer for the families of the occupation Donizete Antonio Ferreira, Tom.

The public hearing will also investigate allegations of rape cases that occurred in the neighborhood of the German Field adjacent to the Pinheirinho during the police operation in the evicted area.
