Secretário Nacional da Saúde Indígena.

Nós Ashaninka e Madihá, do Alto Rio Envira, viemos publicamente denunciar com o descaso da saúde que vem acontecendo em nossa região.

- Há muitas de nossas crianças vem sendo vítimas de epidemias de ataque de diarréia, vômito, febre e outros tipos de enfermidade.

- Em nossas comunidades não existe saneamento básico. Só há um monte de material de construção estragado.

- Há dois anos a equipe de saúde não sobe para fazer qualquer trabalho na área de saúde.

- Quando conseguimos chegar com os pacientes até a cidade de Feijó, ficamos a mercê da sorte, não recebemos tratamento adequado, ficamos na beira do barranco, não recebemos combustível de volta e nem alimentação.

- Choramos as mortes de nossas crianças que morrem a míngua. A última que morreu foi próximo do Natal, quando a gente vinha descendo a remo em busca de socorro até a cidade de Feijó. Tivemos que enterrar na beira do barranco nos seringais dos brancos.

Senhor secretário por ocasião de sua visita ao pólo, entregamos em mão o nosso documento falando de nossos sofrimentos e buscamos alternativas.

Letter of complaint by the Ashaninka of Madiha Alto Rio Envira

Secretary of the National Indigenous Health.

We the Ashaninka and Madiha, of the Upper Envira River (Alto Rio Envira), are publicly denouncing the neglect of the provision of health care that is happening in our region.

- Many of our children has been victims of epidemics attack of diarrhea, vomiting, fever and other types of illness.

- In our communities there is no sanitation. But there are a lot of building material damaged.

- Two years ago the health team (doctors and nurses) stopped their work this region.

- When we travel to the city of Feijo with patients , we are at the mercy of the system and do not necessarily receive appropriate treatment. We were on the edge of the ravine, we have received back and fuel and food. [the end of this sentence is not accurate - can someone pls help?]

- We mourn the deaths of our children who starve to death. The last one that died died around Christmas, when we paddled down the river to the town of Feijo. We had to bury the edge of the ravine in white rubber. [the end of this sentence is not accurate - can someone pls help?]

Mr. Secretary on the occasion of your visit , are provided with a document that addressed our suffering and is seeking alternatives.
