Com um prazo de 24 horas dado pela desembargadora Selene de Almeida, do TRF-1, Brasília (DF), os cerca de 180 indígenas de nove povos dos rios Teles Pires, Tapajós e Xingu, afetados por projetos hidrelétricos, decidiram se retirar do principal canteiro de obras da UHE Belo Monte, às margens da Transamazônica, no Pará, no início da noite desta quinta-feira, 9.

Esperamos que a nossa atitude mostre que isso é estar aberto ao diálogo”, explicou Valdenir Munduruku em entrevista coletiva aos jornalistas às portas do canteiro.

Ao redor da liderança indígena, a mais de uma centena de indígenas, que durante uma semana ocuparam o canteiro, num dos mais contundentes protestos contra a usina, pediam pela consulta às comunidades afetadas pelas usinas hidrelétricas que o governo federal pretende construir na Amazônia – parte da pauta que motivou a ocupação. Contrariando a Convenção 169 da OIT e a Constituição Federal, o governo Lula e Dilma passaram a executar grandes obras sem consultar as comunidades afetadas.  

The indigenous leadership was surrounded by more than a hundred Indians, who for a week occupied the construction site. This represented one of the strongest protests against the plant by the communities affected by hydropower plants that the federal government intends to build in the Amazon - part of the reason that motivated the occupation. “Não estamos saindo por conta de nenhum acordo. Nós vamos sair daqui porque desde quando chegamos o ministro não veio conversar conosco. (Ao contrário) Escreveu muita mentira na internet sobre a gente”, afirmou Cândido Munduruku, presidente da Associação Pusuru. Os indígenas deixaram claro que não vão abandonar a agenda de luta contra as hidrelétricas na Amazônia e pela consulta prévia.

Valdenir e Cândido ressaltaram que o grupo sai “revoltado com o governo federal”, que ao invés de enviar o ministro Gilberto Carvalho para dialogar mandou a Força Nacional e a Polícia Federal. Os indígenas foram cerceados e impedidos de fazer contato com seus advogados, com a imprensa; agentes da Força Nacional chegaram a impedir a entrada de comida.

No final da noite de ontem, quarta, 8, a desembargadora Selene deferiu pedido de reintegração de posse feito por dez advogados da Norte Energia S A. Hoje, o Ministério Público Federal (MPF) do Pará pediu a suspensão da reintegração. Selene manteve a reintegração, mas reconheceu o movimento como pacífico e despachou um prazo de 24 horas para os indígenas abandonarem a ocupação.

No agravo feito ao TRF1, o advogado chega a citar o relatório da PF, assinado pela sua esposa”, diz a nota.
